Yes, but that's the reason that tagging is such a mess. If the
original "amenity=car_rental" had been "amenity=vehicle_rental", life
would be simpler.
Maybe this:
amenity=car_rental
rental:truck=yes
rental:car=no
That would give you an immediate solution, and also give us
flexibility in the longer term.
it's a half measure at best. rental space includes many things that
aren't vehicles. i don't have to go very far to get to Bob's Rental
in West Sand Lake, which rents all kinds of gasoline powered outdoors
equipment that's too expensive for most home owners to just buy. a
subcategory for that under amenity=car_rental seems peculiar.
