A related question is how to tag something like this: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:US_192_marker_7_eastbound.jpg It's often called a mile marker, but the distance between each consecutive pair is not constant. The intent is for tourist-oriented businesses to advertise their location with respect to the markers. I used man_made=tower name=Marker 7, but I don't know if this is best.
