Don't know in your country, in Germany we have different situations:
there is "cash group" with 5 or so private mayor players in banking
(you don't pay fees on any of them if you're account holder on one).
Then there is 2 (main) types of semi-public banks which serve private
clients: one operates nationwide as one company (I am generalizing
here) and the other one has different companies in every municipality.
The latter are distinct operators in every municipality but they have
a brand that doesn't charge you nationwide (but the companies are all
independant).

E.g.
For the Sparkasse there would be name (of the single atm), operator
(name of the bank, say Berliner Sparkasse) and brand=Sparkasse (given
that we use brand for the network, which sounds just confusing to me
while I write it here, why was that necessary again?). It would be
correct.

If you do this for cash group )*, it won't be correct, because cash
group is not the brand of Deutsche Bank, or Commerzbank, or foo bank,
it is a network, an agreement between those.
