up-thread, is there anything it doesn't cover? I've been using it for over a 
year, although I haven't mapped any really crazy scenarios.

You can specify properties (name, ref, etc) of the bridge as tags on the 
relation. You can specify things in the "under" role to indicate physical 
layering. You can also specify a way to use as the outline of the bridge if 
you've got good enough imagery (although I haven't used that bit personally).
