If you want to be so, draw a polygon for the intersection, not a node. Finally, straight forward lines are more reflecting the reality. And turning restrictions are not required (in simple case) if you have the oneway tags. But sometimes, I agree with you that this solution makes mapping easier when the intersection is more complex than this one. Pieren
