Neither such Fire Training facility in my area are specifically tagged OSM yet, so I would be interested in some standard tagging.
The one that I know of is that is named in OSM is only tagged by GIS import so far, http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/29769230 Boston Fire has its own Academy on Moon Island (outside city limits) but in OSM only the building polys (from NOAA LIDAR coastal zone overflights) are imported. ( I believe this is where the BPD Bomb Squad does their controlled detonations as well.) http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/29666931 http://wikimapia.org/6130397/Boston-Fire-Academy -- Bill, Boston, US On Sat, Apr 17, 2010 at 5:18 AM, John Smith <deltafoxtrot...@gmail.com> wrote: > I couldn't see anything on the wiki that matched this, but at most > large airports in Australia they have fire fighting training > facilities and I wonder if anyone has tagged these in the past, if so > what scheme was used? > > http://www.nearmap.com/?ll=-27.360791,153.133259&z=20 > http://www.nearmap.com/?ll=-33.947432,151.186174&z=20 > http://www.nearmap.com/?ll=-37.656049,144.817374&z=20 > http://www.nearmap.com/?ll=-31.925998,115.977406&z=20 > http://www.nearmap.com/?ll=-34.951641,138.534728&z=20 > > _______________________________________________ > Tagging mailing list > Tagging@openstreetmap.org > http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging > -- Bill n1...@arrl.net bill.n1...@gmail.com _______________________________________________ Tagging mailing list Tagging@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging
