Google has opened applications for organizations for Google Summer of Code 2023. They have greatly simplified the application process for organizations that have participated in the past. We now only need to submit our ideas page and list how many mentors we have.
Our ideas page is at https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/GSoC-Ideas. Mentors, please go through this page and edit it. Remove any ideas that are no longer relevant, update ideas that are partially implemented, and add new ideas (if you aren't sure about an idea, discuss here first). Also, if you are able to mentor, please add your name to https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/GSoC-Ideas#potential-mentors. I will be emailing everyone there to confirm if they are still available to help mentor. If you aren't able to mentor but can help review applications, email me and let me know so that I can add you to the reviews. If you were a student in a previous year, I encourage you to mentor this year. No one will be required to menor any project unless they want to, so you can add your name there even if you are only willing to mentor specific projects. In the coming months, we will probably see people here on this list and on GitHub interested in participating in GSoC, so please introduce them to the community and our GSoC guidelines ( https://github.com/sympy/sympy/wiki/GSoC-Ideas#potential-mentors).
