Generally speaking most such bugs come from modules rather than the engine or diatheke. Can you please check if the same behaviour exists witg the KJV(A)? If so it will more likely be in engine or diatheke. If not I suggest first a careful look at the CPDV’s encoding which may then well be (subtly but effectively) broken.
I am not dismissing that the diatheke has a bug but in my experience bugs originate more likely in modules when undefined abd weird behaviour is shown.

There's a serious bug in diatheke!
See forwarded email thread.

It gets even worse!
I just used diatheke to output "Gen-Rev" for the updated CPDV
module, not even using the command line switch "-o h"
The following heading occurs 12,365 times !!!!!!!!!! 😭
This is a copy of the letter that Jeremiah sent to
those who would be taken captive into Babylon by the king of
Babylon, so as to prophesy to them according to the warning he
had received about them from God.
The first instance is before
Baruch 6:1
Something really catastrophic in the latest SWORD software (the
utilities bundled with
Xiphos) !
Methinks that this requires an
8D Problem Solving approach.
Best regards,
David

Hi Marjan,
See the attached 7-Zip file.
Command line was as in S:\Analyse\ExportModH.cmd
where drive S: is mapped to my Sword path using
Windows subst
..\xiphos\diatheke -b %1 -f plain -o h -k "Gen-Rev"
>..\Export\%1\%1.diatheke.h.txt
Look at Genesis 2: as the first example of
repeating the same heading.
David
