I'm inclined to suspect that this verse may have a word missing!
Genesis 29:7: Le jour est encore grand, dit Jacob, et ce n’est point l’heure où
l’on rassemble les troupeaux ; faites donc boire vos brebis et -les au pâturage.
I should have expected to see a French verb before "-les".
These 7 lines in the word frequency analysis are also rather suspicious:
> au- 1
> ceux- 1
> demeu- 1
> est- 1
> laissez- 1
> moi- 2
> soixante- 1
It looks as though there's either a spurious space or a missing word at each of
the places where these words end with a hyphen/minus!
The third instance "demeu-" isn't even a complete French word, so it may be due
to a line-wrap hyphenation, one that was never detected by the digital source
text proofreaders.
Please check all these against a printed edition!
Best regards,
David
