I am still baffled as to why installation of engLXX2012eb and engUKLXX2012eb
work fine, but engBrent1851eb, the predecessor to both of the previous ones,
does not. I did, however, manage to duplicate the failure in Bishop running on
an Android phone. This isn't a server issue, though.

Thanks Fred,

I just successfully installed modules

  * *engLXX2012eb*
  * *engUKLXX2012eb*

Those are the only English LXX modules I could find beyond the *Brenton
Septuagint Translation*, the one I am stillunable to install.

/Any clues yet, Michael?/

Best regards,

David

David, not under ancient greek, but it is under English. All the ones I tried

    Hi Fred,

    AFAICT, there's no LXX module under the language Κοινή Ἑλληνῐκή (/aka/
Ancient Greek) in the *eBible.org* repo.

     1. What's the actual ModName of the one you tried to install?
     2. Under which language did Xiphos list it?

    Hmmm. after I choose the LXX module and click install there is a pause of 1

    it looks as if following Scott's directions above worked correctly...

        I was also able to successfully install the *TNT* module*engtnteb*via

the thread.

        Scott, thanks for the recipe. I've done that and everything looks as if
I did it right, but when I attempt to install a module from eBible nothing is
installed, or not that I can find, not even by perusing the filesystem under
~/.sword. I ran Xiphos from the commandline and did it again, but no error
messages appeared.

        Clues? (I have none!)

                    As a Xiphos user, is there anything I can do to update my
Xiphos to
                    use https? It seems to default to ftp.

                If you go to Edit > Module Manager > Module Sources > Add/Remove
>

                Current Remote Sources > Add and use the following details

                Caption: eBible.org <http://eBible.org> HTTPS
                Type: HTTPS
                Host: ebible.org <http://ebible.org>
                Directory: /sword
                User: (leave blank)
                Password: (leave blank)

                Then click Refresh on that page, you should now have the eBible.org
<http://eBible.org>
                HTTPS source added. Do the usual to access it as you would any
other
                Xiphos module source.

                I don't think there's an easy way to change all of the sources
to HTTPS,
                they must be added individually. I've opened a GitHub issue
                (https://github.com/crosswire/xiphos/issues/1214) for this,
updates will
                be posted there and likely on the xiphos-devel mailing list too.
