Unfortunately I have no expertise to help Arnaud, but I think it would
be nice if someone could answer Arnaud's question. I think it's a really
good idea. As it's work, we need a clear answer, a yes or no, and then
we'll move on.
I'm sure we're all volunteers, but I also find it hard to give clear
answers on this list.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to mention that Arnaud has come
up with a wonderful scraper for Bibles. I think we'd be wrong not to
take advantage of his fine skills. I also know that the front-ends will
have to follow...
Best regards, fr Cyrille

Hi,
This sounds like a good opportunity to remind that, in February, I
proposed a set of principles to redesign the way versifications work -
with the explicit goal of being able to dynamically build
uncompromised versification systems for every document, while
retaining accurate versification mappings for text study across
different bibles.
cf. http://crosswire.org/pipermail/sword-devel/2024-February/049957.html
I was, and still am, hoping to get feedback on the core principles
before building a more detailed specification, that we could then
implement in sword.
Cheers,
Arnaud
