There are either obstacles in the way of module makers or there are bad modules. There is no particular way around that. We have long time ago decided to go for quality and I see no reason to change that.

But we have made it as easy and fast to produce good modules as we can. And looking at Dominique's progress and the current throughput this will continue.

If you think it’s so vital to use TEI please cite an example where this is so much much better than IMP / ThML and explain in detail which filters you think might actually be useful in a dictionary.

Let’s not erect artificial obstacles to module making - especially for new team members.

It’s enough to learn how to walk before we expect anyone to run.

My advice is not only correct, it is also the only way we should prepare now new dictionary modules. Imp should not be used and recommending it is not appropriate.

TEI Dictionary modules allow huge amount of semantic encoding and the TEI filters are very advanced.

Dictionary modules don’t normally have filters in their conf files. What did you have in mind? The only one I could imagine might be UTF8GreekAccents but that’s at character level.

Your advice is more suitable for Bible modules.

All that’s needed in a dictionary entry is a simple means to format the text.

ThML is quite adequate for this purpose even though it can also be done using either TEI or OSIS fragments.

It’s a very simple structure in a dictionary module. IMP works perfectly well to achieve the required results.

Please do not use or recommend ThML , it's filters are not the most useful. For your request, exporting into the formats lisred a TEI module is your only option.

Hi Pierre,

Use IMP format with each entry as a snippet of ThML

I will send you a link for the IMP file used already.

Then we can use imp2ld to make the module.

Hi there !

I would like to create a dictionary module for the LXX's morphological code:

https://github.com/pierre-amadio/packard

With book module, the Sword engine can render data in raw text and
some other format such as html, LaTeX, ThML, and so on.

Is that something the Sword engine can also do for dictionary module ?
If not, i plan to make it raw text only.
If it can be done, where can I find an example of osis for such a
module that include formatted text (assuming dictionary are also build
out of osis source) ?
