We do not actually know what the text was. There is little doubt it was public domain, but it was not what it claimed to be. We think something or other 19th century.

With that it had to go, lack of proper identification, positive certainty 're what it was not...

but even if we identify it now as bona fide whatever I would rather have a new module from a different correctly self identifying source. It is too risky in so many ways to keep texts around you do not know who has manipulated them for whatever reason.
