Great, this is what I needed to know.

In the past, ie. over a year ago, I found that the tools in Xiphos seemed to be either obsolete or something was wrong, and was unable to use them. It is more important to me to have a reliable platform than to have the latest version. So I have been using 1.7.0-1 from the Crosswire site. On the other hand, I really do need the Louis Segond versification support.

Thanks again.
