Am I right in thinking that this updated *Shona* module release came out of a backlog of old submissions to the modules team?
If the text source came from the old Google code pages, then it could be about 4 years old, and would not include all the subsequent changes made by the translators. Both repositories (*shona* & *ndebele*) are still regularly getting commits. It would make more sense to use the data in these repositories for making SWORD modules.
