You are right, of course, that many people remember the STEP format with fondness. We discussed this problem when considering the STEP acronym, but decided in the end that it won't make for too much confusion. That's the reason we tend to refer to Tyndale STEP or STEP Bibles in order to circumvent any confusion which might occur,
but the sad truth is that few people know anything about the STEP format.
