OK, now it's more than a curiosity. First, I just did the conversion of Xiphos to use FMT_XHTML instead of FMT_HTMLHREF. No sweat, changed a few lines of code, rebuilt, worked the first time. However... In the absence of a TEI XHTML capability, no TEI modules render interesting content. E.g. Geocoded and GeoAtlas have xref linkages, all of which now come out as plain text, no linkage.
