Some of our Japanese Bibles in Beta use ruby markup. 

I just added a subsection to illustrate it, having observed that it was
hitherto undocumented. See

Line of thought prompted by wondering whether this method would be a nice
method to include Sequoyah transliteration of the Cherokee syllabics in our
Cherokee NT module Che1860. 

cf. There is no reason why ruby markup should be restricted to Japanese
modules.
