AFAICT, there is no way to import from e-Sword. There are plenty of resources in the Crosswire Bible Society fileservers, but I was wondering if it could be possible to download a Paid for Bible from the e-Sword repository? For example, I would like to install the NASB in BibleTime, even if I have to pay for it. I also have a copy of the NASB on my Palm OS device. I imagine that it is in .pdb format. I trust that although I am not subscribed to this list , and in fact I am not a developer, that it may pass through moderation fairly quickly. I have cut and pasted the earlier messages in this thread for clarity. I imagined that the e-Sword (Windows) program was drawing on the sword libraries, so when I discovered that there were a number of works which could be purchased for e-Sword, I naturally thought that there may have been a way to sell them to Linux users as well. I understand that Open Source means that apart from the software making the source code available, in many cases it is also free as in gratis, zero cost. In my early days of Mandrake 7, 8, 9 and 10 I travelled free. But I realised that the effort in producing great software needed financial support, and so I became a paid member of the Mandrake (now Mandriva) Club. Is there any relationship (other than the blood of Christ) between the e-Sword project and the Sword Project? Does the Crosswire Bible Society intend to have a range of translations available for sale? Is the current NASB module to be a free or "paid for" product?
