Dear Manfred,
Maybe we just have a really old version of MacSword on the CD. Here is
the current README:
ftp://ftp.crosswire.org/pub/sword/iso/latest/README.mac
Actually, I don't even see a .dmg file for MacSword any longer, as the
README mentions. It looks like it is exploded to MacSword.app now?
When I tried to help a friend install MacSword from the CD a while back,
I had trouble even opening the README.mac file. Is it because of the
extension? Anyway, here is the root of the CD:
ftp://ftp.crosswire.org/pub/sword/iso/latest/
I would appreciate your suggestions. I believe you should have write
access to ~sword/ftp/iso/latest/

Yes, that's supposed to work:
- copy MacSword to anywhere on your harddrive.
- open the module installer
- create a new install source
- set type to "Local"
- click on the "Directory" button and choose the folder on the CD where
the modules are located
- give the install source a name
- refresh the install source

We're planning another 1000 cut batch of CDs tomorrow. If there is
anything low risk you'd like to update on the ISO latest directory,
please try to have it done tonight.
PS. Is there any easy way to install MacSword from the CD and then
use the module installer to install modules from the CD? I tried this
myself and couldn't figure it out.
-Troy.
