Hi there ......... I've begun work on a simple commandline version for a modules installer for SwordReader. I've placed a binary package of a complete installer directory up at: http://www.crosswire.org/sword/swordreader/installer.zip
and the source is in swordreader svn under 'installer_src'. If any of you have SwordReader running on a working pocket pc that uses ActiveSync to connect to a pc, maybe you could try it out and see where we are going so far. It does not yet install: What it does so far is connect via rapi (that is using the ActiveSync api, so ActiveSync must already be connected to the divce), it searches the device for mods.d and marks the containing directory as the SwordReader 'Home' Sword directory. It then copies all the .conf files from mods.d to the pc, and fires up Windows InstallManager. After that, it does nothing except print a message .... just to say it got there. It would be good to have some feedback before I go much further with it. (Oh, stuff like my test zipfile ought really to be somewhere other than where I've put it. Am I able to upload files into the beta test area? And if so, where do I find it?).
