DM,
Lynn did a great job adding alot of functionality to his latest
installer. I would grab that as a starting point:
http://lcdbible.sourceforge.net/misc/BibleCsStarterKitSetup_proto.zip
My main concerns are that we are adding alot of functionality and stubs
for future functionality that we haven't thought out completely (CD
installer issues, InstallMgr launching and finding module set, etc.).
These things are not needed for an updated release of BibleCS. I also
am a firm believer that we should hide as many choices as possible for
windows users. I don't mind an [Advanced] button to show extra options,
but 99.99% of them shouldn't be confused by showing them choices they
don't understand.
So, I guess, to finish an installer, I would say either start with what
I originally checked into SVN at:
https://crosswire.org/svn/biblecs/trunk/installer
and pull from Lynn's work that meets my original requested additions
quoted here:
There are a few things missing:
Launch Readme.txt and wait for close BEFORE launching InstallManager.exe
Registry keys correct so Windows Module self-installers (website,
module download, windows) know where to unzip themselves.
Uninstaller successfully launching "$INSTDIR/InstallManager.exe
-uninstall" to uninstall all modules
Or start with Lynn's work and hide all the additional functionality for
now.
Thanks for volunteering your time-- and also to Lynn for doing so much
work up to this point.
-Troy.

Hey Troy,
I might be able to work on the BibleCS Installer. I have just put
together one for JSword/BibleDesktop. From earlier e-mails it looks like
thing are pretty much done. I would like to know what the remaining
issues to be solved for the installation (i.e. What is the wish list and
the must haves and what has been done so far.) I think that it would be
good to satisfy all the must haves and as many of the wishes, but focus
on getting the installer done.
Also, I am curious to know what remains to be done with the NASB
lexicon?

items.
