The short form of Revelation is in common use in the UK. I can't recall
the last time I heard someone refer to the book by its full title or even
anyone using the "of John" suffix. As to Robin's campaign for an
abbreviation I would use Rev.

The continued use by some of Roman numerals in the titles of these books
is an affectation.
