I gave the installation size of Java as 1.2M. I was wrong. I noted this in a reply to Lynn. It is just shy of 15M for Linux. And that is packed.
JSword is still small if your justification of Java still stands.

The size of Java 1.4 JRE is 1.2M. My opinion is that Java belongs on everyone's machine.
Yes it has advantages for other packages e.g. Huckstar.
Anyway the point of all this is that JSword will have a relatively small footprint.
I tried again last night and with some rationalisation (anything that has an equivalent in the base install is now an option). Java now fits in as default so jSword so be trivial to add!
