:)

You're trying to be too sneaky.

If you just unzip the KJV.zip into Program Files/sword/books/ you will get a working module.

To do it manually, like you've tried, you should copy

${WINDOWS_INSTALL}/mods.d/kjv.conf to
${PDA}/Program Files/sword/books/mods.d

and

${WINDOWS_INSTALL}/modules/texts/ztext/kjv to
${PDA}/Program Files/sword/books/modules/texts/ztext/kjv

and

DON'T EDIT any .conf files.

Hope this helps.

PS. Also be sure to: Menu|Shutdown and then restart swordreader so it picks up on new books.

Ok, I've read the install.txt but I can't get SwordReader to see any bible I
copy to the /Program Files/sword/books directory. This is the error I get:

ERROR: No bibles were installed

I copied the sword\modules\texts\ztext\kjv directory from my working Windows
version, into the
Program Files/sword/books/kjv/ directory on my PDA.

I added this to the sword.conf file.

[KJV]
DataPath=/Program Files/sword/books/kjv/
Same error.

Removed these lines from sword.conf file.

Copied kjv.conf to the Program Files/sword/mods.d/ directory and it shows
the kjv as installed but I don't see any text.
(I did edit the data path in the kjv.conf to read DataPath=./books/kjv/
before copying)

What am I missing?

Daniel Blake,
To use QPSword, you'd have to install a real OS (linux) on your pda.
Screenshots/Instructions are at http://opie.handhelds.org/gallery
http://josiah.ritchietribe.net/moniwiki/wiki.php/JornadaInstallation
:)

But, I wouldn't recommend it if you are already used to your PocketPC OS

We do have a PocketPC port in the works, but it is not public yet and
not near complete in supporting all the SWORD engine functionality like
QPSword.

But, that's what the dev list is for, so if you are interested in
testing, you can find the PocketPC app at:

http://www.crosswire.org/sword/swordreader/

Hope this helps,

-Troy.

I just went to the website where the downloads are for QPSword. I

noticed

that everything for pda's have an ipk extension. Am I thinking

correctly

that this is a format to install items to the Ipaq?

I have an HP Jornada that has the arm processor and was hoping to use
QPSword. Are there packages for other Arm based pda's? If not does

anyone

know how I might try to compile the source to create them? I am not a
developer but I do have the Microsoft Embeded development tools

installed on

my computer. Is this everything I need, besides more knowledge that I
currently posses?

I am new to cvs also. What would I need to "checkout" from the cvs
repository to have all of the source code I need to TRY to compile

QPAword?

Thanks for any help.
