Hi Simon,   I'd be interested in participating in your project, and perhaps putting in my 2 alt-155 worth at least during the planning stages. I think there might be very positive coordination opportunities between LcdBible, BerBible, BereanScriptures, and your endeavors. One of the objectives of the BeranScriptures project is to have a much simpler user interface so that newbie sword volunteers could be Eph 4:11-13 equipped to pitch in and help with "The Show" (sword-api, BibleCS, and/or your project).   Have you contacted Costas S, author of the Delphi "The Word"? He might be interested in contributing his thoughts on why he did the things he did. I believe his main concerns are about his use of non-GPL widgets that would be problematic to use with sword-api.  His "The Word" program might serve as a useful starting point to "reverse engineer" using GPL componets such as wxWidget and/or the latest CBuilderX clx cross-platform library.
