I tried beta L on Win2k as well, and it did show the text, I was able to leave artifacts when resizing the columns though. I had another bug in my Win2k setup: when I started it, it reported "LexDictRTFERen~mi" is not a valid component name and appeared to stopped loading modules. It showed the screen, but wouldn't exception whenever I tried to quit it. Stephen.
