Sword seems pretty slow to execute searches. I'm kind of wondering how it's indexed.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of technical expertise on B-trees and stuff to optimize searching. I'm interested in doing a Mac OS X front-end, and just wish the performance was better (and the API was easier to understand, but I can get past that part).
