Dear Swinog Members

The trend in the IPv6 market is to plan for an IPv6-centric migration to IPv6,
meaning to reduce operational complexity by supporting IPv6-only as soon as
possible.

New transition mechanisms such as MAP-T and MAP-E support such scenarios.
Martin Gysi from Swisscom is evaluating these. Today Swisscom successfully
uses 6rd to tunnel IPv6 over their IPv4 backbone. With MAP they will tunnel
IPv4 over an IPv6 backbone. We kindly invite you to participate in our next
event and get a quick update on this new technology and latest trends:

IPv6 Council Event: MAP Deep Dive, by Martin Gysi Swisscom
Date: Monday October 26, 6pm to 9 pm (including networking apero)

with other available technologies. The event will take place at our partners
location, at Digicomp at Limmatstrasse 50 in Zurich (next to main station).

The event cost is CHF 20 at Abendkasse, free for Council members (IPv6 Experts).
