python is terribly dificult to decipher, you're right stanislav. it is as it is, not more, not less, there's two paths to adapt, the right amount of comments, and you must run the configtree.py to get an idea of the traversal of the tree for building the configuration data.
if you prefer git rather than SVN, it's probably 3 lines to adapt, haven't checked.
