Now I see the commit of which you speak. It seems that zpools on zvols were removed due to precisely the same problems that I'm experiencing, then reenabled without comment when pjd imported zpool version 28. But the underlying issue remains. What do you think about my change in https://reviews.freebsd.org/D4998?
