Of course it is my fault that I don't review everything phabricator sends to me, which is a lot. Because it is so easy to add a bunch of subscribers to a revision. However, in the good old pre-phabricator times, people used to send email directly to each other. Those email arrive to my regular mailbox, which I check as often as I can.
