I think this broke my ThinkPad T530, the system appears like that the
click button is "sticky" (not quite sure what's happening though, key
combos like Alt+Tab won't work).

Could you try to instead revert r255153 and r255154 (the latter fixes
the former)? It adds support for middle and extended buttons, which
makes the touchpad usable on some laptops.
