Log:
  invoke _cleanobj_fast_depend_hack unconditionally
  
  Apparently make ${CLEANDIR} is leaving stale entries in .depend files;
  for now invoke the hacky cleanup in both the -DNO_CLEAN and normal
  (no -DNO_CLEAN) cases.
