Agreed. However, for me personally, trimming using my desktop client (exmh2) is simple. If I'm replying using my phone (K-9 mail), trimming is so time consuming and error prone (one wrong finger movement and you start over again, especially while riding the bus to work -- one bump in the road and I'm guaranteed starting over again) that it's next to impossible. As much as I dislike it, top posting might be more acceptable in those circumstances.
