Moments like this I thank that FreeBSD is pretty much the same from the user POV, be it now or 15 years ago. It's still the same console-based install process, with no one pouring full X11 stack on you by default. Not sure how much RAM is required these days to boot into single user and gpart && untar the kernel+base distsets to obtain a minimal working system, but should not be too much. Did anyone try to find out the minimum? 16MB? 32MB? ./danfe P.S. ZFS, well yes, is probably out of question.
