I'm not sure that doing that is a good idea. You can also invoke this
exporter through cron(8), so that it can be collected by the
Prometheus node exporter. Another use case is invoking it from within
a CGI script, so that it can be embedded in an existing web service.
Storing the executable under /usr/libexec would therefore be a bit
weird.

Agreed. Let's leave it the way it is right now, as I don't feel like
upsetting Warner. ;-)
