Hi David,

you might consider using simple lighting trusses for the flown cabinets. We
purchased three of the Gator Frameworks lighting stands that provided a sturdy
10' x 10' x 10' cube array with the added advantage of being portable and
affordable.

We're using the Neumann KH120As which weigh about 14 pounds, which are slightly
heavier than the 8030s, with no issues. We used lighting clamps to suspend the
speakers from the truss, though Genelec may have a more glamorous rigging
option available. The speakers at ear level were mounted on mic stands.

Subject: [Sursound] Suggestions for loudspeaker rigging system

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for recommendations for an affordable and relatively small
footprint rigging system of trusses to build into a cube for a
multichannel array as a permanent installation. The room size is approx.
6.5m (L) x 5m (W) x 3.5 (H). The structure would need to be able to carry
about 16 Genelec 8030 monitors.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

David
