So you would recommend having the Zoom record in A-format instead of
letting it do the conversion to B-format internally?
I'm wondering if maybe the internal conversion applies some kind of mic
calibration data but of course we'll never know. The software has a
button labelled "Ambisonic Filter" but the manual only says "Enable it
to improve spatial accuracy" so maybe this is it. Mystère et boule de
gomme...
