Guys, I don't know how you came to the conclusion that ambisonics wouldn't be part of the discussion but I have been added to this panel <http://nab16.mapyourshow.com/7_0/sessions/session-details.cfm?scheduleid=702> as well and you can bet I will talk about ambisonics.
You may also be interested to know that during VRDC (a new event happening alongside GDC) next March, Pete Stirling from Oculus has a session called "Evaluating Binaural and Ambisonic Audio Capture and Playback <http://schedule.gdconf.com/session/evaluating-binaural-and-ambisonic-audio-capture-and-playback> ". During that same event, Varun Nair (Two Big Ears) and I will also be giving a session focused on post-production called "Audio for Cinematic VR <http://schedule.gdconf.com/session/audio-for-cinematic-vr> in which we talk about b-format.
