Subject: [Sursound] AES Paris
We are some Ambisonics users in France, mostly for artistic
creations.

Right now, the BiLi project is what seems to attract the
most interest in France: it's oriented towards binaural techniques and the
related research is about object-based audio. Of course, it's not strictly
Ambisonics, but
there are many ways to make them
co-exist, and we are working on it.

I think
that it is only one pre-program, the BiLi consortium and Jérôme Daniel will be
present at the
Paris AES, and Daniel's work has been inspirational for a lot of us: 16 years
after the 2000 AES convention, I think Ambisonics has nothing more to prove!
