Hi,

I can't answer for the first piece, but "Leaf Power" is not UHJ encoded. It is just plain "stereo".

This piece was made for a touring multi-channel audio/lighting experience for Nissan's Leaf car. It was in one of five 40' containers, which 'bolted' together. It toured Scandinavia, but didn't continue for the rest of Europe. It was originally intended to be ambisonic, but that didn't seem to suit the geometry of the container, or the audio system within it. The stereo mix down was for a wireless headphone system, but there wasn't time to binaurally encode it.

It is surprising though, how well UHJ decoding to B-Format, works as a quick "surround upmix".

Ciao,

Dave Hunt

Hi Steve.

The web site does not mention that the piece is UHJ encoded;
so can you tell me how you know that it is UHJ encoded?
The player on the site is streaming from soundcloud:
https://soundcloud.com/immersive-audio
Do you know if the other piece, "Leaf Power", is also UHJ encoded?
