Conventional story tellings from Hollywood, I could add. There are lots of different aspects of art looking into Ambisonics. The real problem is that Auro 3D & Dolby are pushing this tech further with their investments in money & time. Ambisonics lives under the hood on this forums...

We´re aiming to a 3D studio here, we would love to make it as "native" ambisonics (HOA), but, there aren´t much professionals answering questions, as for speaker placement & so. Also, we use Protools 11 with AAX support, that lead us to the Auro 3D as the only option by now.

So... it all depends on who develops what & when.

Film industry looks like neanderthal, as usual, but scientists are working just for the big brands. As an independent studio, we would love to serve well the Ambisonics name, but, is there a concrete option to build up a studio to deliver 3D media with today´s standards?. How do you work with Ambisonics on an Auro & Dolby world?.

As usual, someone invents, others develop.

Thanks and greetings to this nice list.
Gino.

Bitter tears, as this touches a fundamental dilemma of film sound:
story-telling is based on exclusion, and surround sound implies inclusion.
