Possibly, though some astrophysicist has "sonified the big bang" and other events, claiming that they produce "pressure" waves.

BTW - was that sealing wax, or ceiling wax?

Definitely sealing wax. It was before the days of BBC's Blue Peter, before the advent of cardboard tube and sticky-backed plastic. (Apologies to younger and foreign readers)readers.

Not those dealing with string theory, which apparently requires eleven dimensions. But, how are we supposed to build sound systems from pieces of string, even if we're allowed to use sealing wax.
