Correct with narrow notches at least, but then when you adapt, you'll be adapting the whole time because the real world doesn't by definition have any errors at all. Which makes using any hardware with noticeable errors a bit bad.

I'd really like to have the most neutral kind when I buy something, but for some reason they are really, *really* difficult to find. I spent literally hours listening to these ones before deciding to change from Sennheiser to Grado. And I still both see from the measurement data and hear from listening to them that they're nowhere *near* perfect. Eventhough such midrange phones already cost near to what your entire amp usually does, and which is already 100% transparent. (The only reason I invest from my kind of income, or now savings, onto them; they really are the most crucial part of the signal chain.)
