> More and more it seems that the modern incarnation of BBC is interested
in ambisonic, and whatnot.

>From my beach in Oz, I have a sense that this new BBC Ambi interest is from TV
>rather than Radio.

In my Jurassic days, there was a strong atmosphere of "never the twain shall
meet". I would very much like to know who provides the sound feed for the
Proms broadcasts. In da old days, there would be no question; Radio.

There was also Kingswood 'Ivory' Warren, an entity in themselves.

It's very likely, many of the original interested parties are no longer with
Auntie Beeb.

I would very much hope the very first ambi Last Night of the Proms, (77? 78?)
still exists in a readable B-format ... also a Wimbledon Centre Court.

Ken Ellis may have the Calrec Teac 3340 copies. He's still alive and kicking
and turns up at Calrec at times.

GV Dave, I'm sorry to hear you are hanging up your pointy hat. Please remind
your successor that I have 1st call on those horrible Diamond Vs if York ever
decides to retire them.
