I think you're misreading each other here. The point is, to find information more easily, you want to be on topic. This list is about surround sound in general, his site is specific for a particular subset. So it makes it more difficult to find things about Ambisonics if a variety of non-ambisonic items are mixed in. It's about maintaining a low signal to noise ratio, not about arbitrary decisions or selfish behavior.
