According to the specs it only does 16 bit & 44.1 kHz whereas the BlackBox handles up to 24 bit & 96 kHz. More importantly the BlackBox can play back 24 tracks as opposed to 8 with this device--from USB2 drives, which should be the way to go with large track counts.
