Yes, that's doable. I considered mentioning the previously, but was trying to keep things brief.

As FRG has noted, make sure that you don't try to have both active simultaneously, as they're likely to conflict.

Now that I think of it, when I switched to uBlock, I did exactly that, of keeping ABP inactive, before I eventually discarded it.
