Paul,

I did that a number of times and it does not bring the Home button back. Any other ideas?

Thank you.

I am in a similar situation as another user who recently posted - that is, I have bookmarks going back 20 years! I am staying with Windows 7 Pro, but am not a software programmer who can make Seamonkey script changes on my own.

I previously created sub-folders to sort out most my excessive bookmarks, with the goal of slowly deleting the links no longer active or of interest to me, but that is a time-consuming process that I never tackled.

Yesterday, when I opened Seamonkey 2.49.5 in Windows 7 Pro, I immediately noticed that the Home button sitting to the left of the Bookmarks button on the Bookmarks bar was gone. tried to fix this problem by using the "Restore: bookmarks feature to go to an older version, but the feature doesn't work.

Any ideas on what has happened or suggestions on how to fix this problem would be be appreciated.

Marisa

Here is what I believe is the setting you are looking for:

1. Open a browser window
2. Go the the menu bar at the top and click on "View"
3. Click on "Show/Hide"
4. Click on "Bookmarks Toolbar"

If you follow these steps the Home Button should return to the upper left hand side under the back and forward buttons.
